Cookie Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
At Berkshirelegwear (accessible via https://berkshirelegwear.com), this policy explains what cookies the site sets, what each kind does, how long it stays, and how to turn it off.
Cookies are what let the pair of pants you added to your cart still be there after you open a second tab to compare the inseam. A few others help us see which pages get read. None of them identify you by name.
By using our website, you agree to the use of cookies described below. If a question about cookies is not answered here, email us at [email protected] and we will be glad to help.
Cookies at a Glance
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Set by | This site, PayPal, and our analytics provider |
| Purpose | Cart, preferences, checkout, traffic measurement |
| Personal data | No names or addresses are stored in cookies |
| Control | Your browser settings, described below |
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file a website places in your browser. When you come back, the browser sends it along, which is how a site knows you are the same visitor who added a pair of pants to the cart ten minutes ago.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
| Type | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps your cart, moves you through checkout, and remembers you are logged in. The site cannot work without these. |
| Functional | Remembers choices such as a sort order or a closed notice so you do not set them again. |
| Analytics | Counts visits and page views in aggregate so we can see which pages help and which do not. |
| Marketing | Only set if you have opted in, to measure whether an email or advertisement led to a visit. |
3. Third-Party Cookies
PayPal sets its own cookies during checkout to run the payment securely, and our analytics provider sets a cookie to measure traffic. Each operates under its own policy, and neither receives your name or address from us.
4. How Long They Last
Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Cart and preference cookies last up to 30 days. Analytics cookies last up to 24 months, after which they are set fresh.
5. Managing or Disabling Cookies
Every browser lets you view, delete and block cookies. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge the controls sit under Settings and then Privacy. You can block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or clear them whenever you like. Blocking essential cookies will empty your cart and stop checkout from completing, so if you shop here it is worth allowing those.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we add or remove a cookie type, this page is updated with a new date at the top.
7. Cookie Questions
Anything about cookies that is still unclear can be sent to us at the address below.
